During the first half of 2011, this community of practice will form a working group to address this critical issue. Together, we will generate a list of recommendations to increase access to and availability of maternal health supplies. These recommendations will address the barriers to adequate supplies, while presenting diverse constituencies with advocacy opportunities to secure policy change, and increase political and financial support and accountability to improve maternal health and reduce maternal mortality.
The Meeting: April 28-29, 2011
During this meeting, a group of key stakeholders (international and US-based advocates, implementers, researchers, supply chain, program and technical staff) will gather to develop advocacy recommendations to increase access to maternal health supplies and build a foundation of work for the next six months.
