She is especially active in advocating the role of nurse-midwives in strengthening maternity services.

Patricia Coffey is a Senior Program Officer and leader of the newborn/maternal health technology portfolio within the Technology Solutions Global Program. She also leads the Woman’s Condom product and market development team. She is responsible for the implementation of social science and operations research of newborn, maternal, and reproductive health technologies.

Stirling Cummings is a research statistician for the MEASURE Evaluation project at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He has worked in the field of international reproductive health and public health evaluation for the last 10 years. Since 2008 he has worked on the INCAM project, a post-census mortality survey which took place in 2007 in Mozambique.
