Day, Louise Tina

Dr. Louise Tina Day currently serves as Consultant in Obstetrics, Clinical Lead for Pediatrics, and as the Head of the MIS-Research Department at LAMB Integrated Rural Health and Development in Dinajpur, Bangladesh. Dr. Day studied at Cambridge University, UK and completed her medical degree with a distinction in obstetrics and gynecology from London University. Her postgraduate clinical training in pediatrics and obstetrics was in London before moving to Bangladesh in 2002 and to LAMB in 2003. She has also done brief consultancies for several organizations in Bangladesh, including Saving Newborn Lives, ICDDR,B, Tearfund UK, and EngenderHealth.

Luc de Bernis, OB-GYN and public health specialist, worked for over 15 years as a health care provider and adviser in a number of African countries before becoming Medical Officer and Coordinator at WHO/RHR, MPS, and Regional Maternal Health Adviser for the African Region, UNFPA. Luc de Bernis is currently Senior Maternal Health Adviser at UNFPA headquarters.

Helen de Pinho is a public health physician with experience as a researcher, health service manager, and clinician in South Africa. As AMDD's Associate Director she is responsible for the Human Resources for Maternal Survival program with particular focus on the use of non-physician clinicians to deliver EmOC. Prior to joining AMDD, Dr. de Pinho was a policy advisor to the UN Millennium Project.

Ayisha Diop is a Program Associate at Gynuity Health Projects and coordinates work in Africa. Before joining Gynuity, she worked on reproductive health issues at the Pacific Institute for Women’s Health and then at IntraHealth International in Dakar, Senegal. As Regional Program Coordinator she provided technical assistance and conducted trainings in Francophone and Anglophone Africa.
