Dr. Sanjida Hasan is a Senior Program Officer of the LAPM Service Delivery and Training Team of the USAID-funded Mayer Hashi (Smiling Mother) Project at EngenderHealth, Bangladesh. She has 15 years of working experience as a program manager in the field of RH/FP programs. She is a physician and has completed her Master in Public health and also a Master of Science in Health Economics.

Ashfa Hasnmi is the Senior Field Research Officer in the Reproductive Health Program at Population Council, Pakistan. She has a Masters in Economics and has been working at the Council since 1995.

Sukanya Hazarika is a lawyer working in the area of public health law at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). She graduated in sociology with honors from the Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University and subsequently acquired her L.L.B. degree from Faculty of Law, Delhi University. She has been actively involved in many research projects relating to law and health at PHFI.

Kathy Herschderfer is a midwife and researcher with more than 20 years of clinical experience. Currently she works as a freelance international adivsor and consultant for technical and policy issues in MNH and is affiliated with the Royal Tropical Institute as an associate consultant. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood.

Hodgins, Steve

Steve Hodgins did his medical and epidemiologic study at McGill University and has a DrPH in Health Behavior and Health Education from UNC, Chapel Hill. He has a particular interest in bringing together sound implementation and rigorous use of data. He has worked across a broad range of technical areas but has, over the past 5 years, particularly focused on maternal and newborn health.

Martine Holston holds a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley and is currently the Misoprostol Program Officer for Venture Strategies Innovations, a US-based non-profit organization that aims to improve maternal health in developing countries by creating access to low-cost technologies with potential for large-scale impact on the health of the poor and underserved.

Mohammad Hoque is a health economist by training and his area of expertise includes economic evaluation and economic consequences analysis. He is closely involved in the application of health economics to public health programs in ICDDR,D. Hoque is involved in several projects concurrently and is responsible for any health economic components of the respective studies.

Mohammad Awlad Hossain is a research and evaluation specialist of Plan Bangladesh. He has a Masters in Anthropology from the University of Jahangirnagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Previousely he worked for BRAC and BCCP. He has been working in the field of research and evaluation for the last 10 years. He has several publications on knowledge, attitudes, and practices of healthcare providers.

Dr. Fauzia A. Huda is a clinician with an MPH. Her work primarily focuses on measuring and identifying mechanisms to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity, health-system factors affecting these and more, generally on the underlying social determinants of maternal health. She is a foreign site scholar for the Fogarty International Clinical Research Scholars Program (2009-2010) in Bangladesh.
