Dr. Masanja has published extensively; one of his recent publications is on child survival gains.

Zoe Matthews has a background in statistics, demography, and reproductive health. In 2003-2005, she was team leader for statistics in the WHO headquarter's ‘Making Pregnancy Safer’ and co-author of the 'World Health Report 2005: Make Every Mother and Child Count.' After a short spell at UK DFID as Statistical Advisor, she returned to Southampton University in 2008 to lead the University’s Division of Social Statistics.

Selemani Mbuyita is a Research Scientist at IHI. His focus is health systems research and translating research results into policy and action. He has worked on the Tanzania Essential Health Interventions Project and an evaluation of chronic illness costs in southern Tanzania. He currently leads the community component of a health systems interventions research project to improve MNCH.

McAuliffe, Eilish

Eilish McAuliffe is Director of the Centre for Global Health at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Her research is on strengthening health systems  with a particular focus on the human resource crisis. Eilish is a senior lecturer and director of the Masters Program in Health Services Management at Trinity College and has also provided consultancy support.

McKaig, Catharine

Dr. Catharine McKaig is currently the director of the ACCESS-FP, a USAID-supported effort aimed at meeting the family planning needs of postpartum women. She has over twenty years of experience in international public health in the areas of RH/FP and CS. She has her doctoral degree in MCH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Matthew Meschery is the Director of Digital Initiatives at the Independent Television Service (ITVS) where he oversees the development of new media content as well as a broad range of digital activities. Matthew has played a key role for ITVS in online distribution, digital infrastructure development, social media strategy, and website production. Recent work includes overseeing an internal initiative to support independent filmmakers creating original online content as well as new media extensions of their documentary films that are broadcast on public television in the U.S. Such projects include The FutureStates web series and iPhone app prototype, The Returning Home Project, When I Walk video blog, and Garbage Dreams - The Game. Prior to ITVS, Matthew served as the Program Manager for Music Education at the Bay Area Video Coalition. There he founded the Bay Unity Music Project (BUMP), which provides a training ground and launch pad for young artists from underserved communities. He also writes and produces music, and serves as adjunct faculty at San Francisco State University, where he teaches digital music production.

Maja Micevska Scharf holds a PhD in Economics from the Claremont Graduate University, U.S.A. During her academic career, she has been affiliated with universities and research institutes in several European countries. Since December 2008, she has been with the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) where she acts as a Project Leader of the Resource Flows (RF) project.

Dr. Suellen Miller is the Director of Safe Motherhood Programs at the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, and Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. Safe Motherhood Programs comprise intervention projects and research on critical maternal health issues.

Dr. Dhiren Modi, is a community health physician working for a voluntary organization, SEWA-Rural, located in Gujarat, India. Dr. Modi graduated with a MBBS degree from the Jamnagar Medical College in 2003 and completed preventive and social medicine (PSM) residency from the same college in 2007. Areas of interest include maternal and newborn health, malnutrition, and occupational medicine.

Dr. Mohammed is a graduate of Aga Khan University Medical College (1991). He completed his residency training program in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Aga Khan University Hospital (1998). He obtained his Masters of Science (Clinical Sciences) in Fetal Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Fetal Medicine from the National University of Singapore in 2001and 2005, respectively.

Dr. Mohammed is a medical doctor, graduated in 1996 from Punjab University, and worked until 2001 as a clinical doctor in several hospitals in Pakistan. He joined the public health sector in Afghanistan with an NGO and worked in a range of different public health management positions. He now works for HealthNet TPO as a program manager and is responsible for public health programs in Afghanistan.

Dr. Pavitra Mohan coordinates health policy and child health programs of UNICEF India. He has coordinated UNICEF operations in Rajasthan, contributing to improvements in community-based referral, coverage of blood storage centers, and quality of facility-based newborn care. He specializes in pediatrics and public health. Research interests include care-seeking practices and equity in health services.

Dr. Prem Mony, MD, is Associate Professor and Canada-HOPE Scholar at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Bangalore. He completed his medical training and residency from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. His focus is on mortality surveillance and avoidable disease burden. Research interests include epidemiology and control of maternal and child health disorders.

As a Senior Associate with Population Council's Reproductive Health Program, Mullick coordinates operations research on reproductive tract infections (RTIs) and the integration of HIV and AIDS into RH services in east and southern Africa. Her research interests include RTIs and STIs, maternal care, particularly syphilis screening and treatment in ANC, and integration of VCT into family planning services. She is a medical doctor with a Masters in Public Health Methodology and a Masters in Public Health in Developing Countries. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of reproductive health and HIV in the design, implementation, and evaluation of reproductive health interventions.
